Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026. The English version is authoritative.
1. Data controller
The data controller for the processing of your personal data is Illium Technologies, the publisher of the WIAM platform, registered in the United Arab Emirates. You can reach the data protection team at contact@iliumtechnologies.ae.
2. Data we collect
When you interact with this website we may collect:
- Demo request form: name, email address, business name, industry, and the free-text message you submit.
- Technical data: IP address (kept only for anti-abuse rate limiting, not stored), browser user-agent, and the language you selected on the site.
- Local preferences: the theme you choose is stored in your browser's
localStorageunder the keywiam-theme-v2. This data never leaves your device.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to your demo request and contact you with a proposal.
- To improve the site by aggregating anonymous usage signals (no personal identification).
- To prevent abuse of public endpoints (rate limiting by IP).
We do not sell your data, share it with third-party advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than the ones listed above.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
Processing of your demo-request form is based on your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) given when you submit the form. Technical anti-abuse processing is based on our legitimate interest in protecting the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5. Service providers
We use Resend (https://resend.com) as a transactional email provider to deliver demo-request notifications. Resend is a data processor under GDPR. The message you submit via the demo form transits through Resend to reach our inbox.
6. Retention
Demo-request data is retained in our inbox for as long as necessary to process your request and for up to 24 months afterwards for follow-up. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see §8).
7. Cookies
We use two categories of client-side storage:
- Functional (no consent required): your theme and language preferences stored in
localStorageunderwiam-theme-v2. These never leave your device and fall under the "strictly necessary" ePrivacy exemption. - Analytics (consent required): if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 (
_ga,_ga_*cookies) with IP anonymisation enabled. This lets us measure aggregated traffic patterns. Rejecting the banner — or ignoring it — means no Google Analytics scripts are ever loaded. You can change your choice by clearing your browser's site data.
Google Analytics is a service provided by Google LLC. When enabled, data may be transferred to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See Google's privacy policy for their data handling practices.
8. Your rights (GDPR)
You may at any time exercise the following rights:
- Right of access to your personal data.
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to restriction of processing.
- Right to data portability.
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL at cnil.fr).
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@iliumtechnologies.ae. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version and its effective date are always available on this page.
